Is There a Generic for Plavix?
If your healthcare provider has prescribed the antiplatelet drug Plavix® (clopidogrel bisulfate), you may be wondering if there is a generic version. At this time, Plavix is available only as a brand-name drug. However, this could change once the patent for it expires. Clopidogrel is the active ingredient in Plavix and is sometimes referred to as the "generic name."
